I used it to get to work the other week in Avonmouth.

Yep. The short sighted morons have done a good job. There lack vision never fails to amaze me.
I little glimmer of hope for the remainder is that BANES have now safe guarded whats left as sustainable transport routes under PPG13.
Whether or not it will make much difference.

Have you been out to Farrington yet to see what remains of the GWR Bristol to Frome line there. The embankments there behind the church.
