Bristol harbour railway.

I tried to get a place on the Branch Line Society "All available Lines " tour on 04/11/12 but it was full. will there be a normal service besides that , whatever a normal service is??
Can anybody provide any gen on whether its better to book on the trains or just turn up. Is there a web site with ...

You can see the Regional Railways Blue and white livery where the gate ripped the surround to the valve, or whatever it is, off..
its got to be about 8 ft off the ground so doubt if it was ...

nickt I can assure you it was not a tree that scraped the 153 ... it was the gate at Portbury.. if I knew how to put pictures up I would show the damage caused to the side of the unit..

Why would they change the route to a platform road when it was booked on the Up through then?? There were 3 or 4 who were insistent they didnt want to do the Henbury loop and wanted to get off. I agree things could have been handled better in some situations that occurred but these things happen..

I can only speak for myself..I had a great day.. I applied for my tickets like everybody did.. I would have been at home had I been turned down.. I got a ticket.

I was on the 12.09 and really enjoyed the trip.. I have done the Portbury line before with 2 pairs of 37s but went along for the ride but also needing Holesmouth Junction on the Henbury/Avonmouth loop. Bonus was getting the Up Relief behind Parsons Street Station..
