the new platform seems to be coming along quite well. Will be good news when its finished and opened!

i think but can't be sure that when i went thorugh there on november 21st 2006 on a paddington bound HST the original bridge was back up across the line.

Does anyone know what shifts the platform staff work at temple meads?

IE what is the earliest start time and latest finish time? is the station staffed 24 hours a day ie night shift?

do you ever use peak time stopping trains between Bristol and South Wales?

The 8.00 cardiff to taunton used to be packed at Newport EVERY day and by Severn Tunnel Jct when even more crammed aboard it there wasnot even any standing room left.

i too remember riding this when i was young, the station was near the main car park, the line then went over a level crossing, behind the playground, through a tunnel then ther train reversed back to the station,

does anyone remember a series shown on itv in about 2001 called railway lives about the lives of staff on the gwr, both past and present.

If so does anyone know if there are any plans to show the series again or if no anyone know where i can obtain a copy?
