Some time ago I posted about looking for photos of Ashley Hill Junction Signal Box and someone sent me two photos.

Now I am curious as to who the signalman was on 30th April 1941. Long shot I know, but can anyone tell me who this might have been.

For 10 years now I have been researching the crash ...

I have been sent two photos, one taken in 1910 showing the original box and another taken in 1959 showing the old and new box. In the 1959 one you can see the gas holders in the background.

Thanks. I'll try and get a copy of the book at the library.

I have loads of info about the crash, but anything else may prove useful.
