I was wondering what is happening these days in relation to the easternmost island at Temple Meads, that is to say old platforms 1 & 2, which were taken out of passenger use in 1970. I don't quite understand this information - does the lifting refer to the goods sidings or the former through line on the east side of the platform (or indeed the whole lot?)

I may be able to send some archive photographs from the Lens Collection when I have scanned them - I assume there is no "browse" option, otherwise I could send them directly.
