60163 Padd -Plymouth return. Saturday, 9th March, 2013.

60163 'Tornado'. Paddington -Plymouth return. Saturday, 9th March, 2013.

Word has it that this is the first time that a steam loco has ever worked a train unassisted from Paddington to Plymouth AND
return in a single day. Please feel free to correct me if you know otherwise. <BJ>

Re: Sunday...returning stock.

That location brings back memories. The building directly behind the locos was the old Stothert and Pitt training school where I attended as a first year apprentice in 1971. What a fantastic place to work for a railway enthusiast. <BJ>
