mmm... thinking the same, I applied for the 12.09 as soon as the thread started on here, like everyone else I've had the email saying its full, I asked if any othere times were available & again, everything has been taken.

So who has got tickets & how did they get so lucky? All sounds a bit strange ...

My only input to this is that I used to use the carpark as a sneeky U turn if you came down Wells rd & wanted to go back up Bath road, it saved you going all the way down past Fowlers.

I bet the staff hated it when people did that :oops:

They were early, lucky I was down in the caravan this weekend so watched as they steamed through Dawlish Warren, we got there thinking we had time to spare when suddenly we saw & heard them a couple of miles down at Dawlish, quite a sight watching them come along the coast.

Anyways..... so are they still at Portbury or have they shifted now? Its been an interesting story & ive enjoyed the wait for them to arrive & the pics are great. Hope to see more soon.

Whitchurch Halt, were the platforms concrete/brick? Are they still there under the field?

Also has any one seen any photos of Chelwood Bridge before it became a roundabout, like the bridge at west town lane Ive looked for ages & never found a pic of what it was like. How did both roads go over the ...

Excellent!! well done, its a different pic to the one I saw in a book in the Industrial museum, there wasn't a bus going through, im surprised how high it actually was.

Well done for tracking down a photo, i've looked for ages & found nothing on line.... dont suppose you can find one with a train ...

I lived in Stockwood from 1964 to 1970. The bridge over West Town Lane was not a small stone archway

Thats interesting, If you saw it then of course you know what it was like but the pic I found in a book in the old Industrial museum, I cant remember what it was called but it wasnt a specific ...

Brislington station building was only demolished in the early 1990's. (maybe even 1990). When I had recently passed my driving test, 1989, I remember looking at the station when driving (or jumping) over Talbot hill bridge. Building the M32

On the BBC Bristol website theres a short film from the 50's about the proposed M32, theres some footage of Cannons marsh goods yard & also the viaduct by Muller rd.
