These pics were kindly supplied by Clive Moore. My thanks to him :)

d860

Warship D860 stands at the East end of WSM

d860

Another view of the loco as it waits to leave.

steamer

The same spot but this time with a kettle about to leave for Bristol. Behind the engine, another train stands in the bay platform.

The next set of pics were kindly supplied by Andrew Ross and David Burrell. Mucho gracias mon amigos :)

station building

A look at the station building. Andrew Ross

33031

A 1985 look east from WSM with 33031 awaiting work. David Burrell

looking east

Andrew's 2004 view east is now blocked by the Hildesheim Bridge. The carpark on the right seems to have rails buried under the tarmac. Andrew Ross

gasworks

Looking towards Weston gasworks which was once rail-connected. The route of the first railway to reach WSM went from the spot where Andrew is standing in a straight line towards those gasworks. Andrew Ross

footbridge

A look at the mightly fine footbridge. Thank heavens this has been kept intact. Andrew Ross

the bridge

A closer look at the staircase. Andrew Ross

across the footbridge

The view inside the footbridge. Andrew Ross

143611 and 143612 at Weston Super Mare

143611 and 143612 waiting for passengers on 27.11.04.

weston super mare train station

The view south along the station.

the bay at weston super mare train station

The bay alongside Platform 2. The trackplan at WSM doesn't allow direct access into the bay from the mainline and anything using it would have to make two reversals.

weston super mare railway station

Standing at the south end of the station and looking north. The light was rapidly runing out when I took this!

looking south from wsm station

Looking south from WSM station.

old building at Weston Super Mare railway station

This building at Weston-Super-Mare is obviously much older than the car park that surrounds it. ideas anyone? Andrew Ross
