History
Tyntesfield Sidings were laid by the Ministry of Fuel and Power in 1956-7 to serve an underground fuel depot.

1970s
A DMU thunders towards Bristol in the early 70s, before the semaphore signalling was removed. A point of interest in this photo is the stream on the left. This has since been covered over but can emit steam from vents in the ground on a cold day. © Andy Kirkham |

Over the weekend of Feb 14-15th 2004 the crossover and point to the sidings was removed. The next photos were taken on a miserable 4th March 2004.
