History
This Road gets it's name from the Limekiln that was situated here. There was a tramway linking the kiln to a quarry near Yate Court.

 The spot where the tramway crossed Limekiln Road. The works have been converted to a mix of residential and industrial use and property has been built on the tramway route. |
 The earthworks of the tramway are still visible on the opposite side of the road. |
 Slightly further south the route of the tramway crosses a farm access road. The earthworks are more visible here. |
