Cardiff Central

7925 Westol Hall is surrounded by a group of schoolkids while a friendly driver looks on. The loco was built in 1950, withdrawn in December 1965 and scrapped at Cashmore's in Newport.

47105 enters Cardiff with a mixed freight. This loco is currently (2009) preserved at the Gloucester Warwickshire Railway.

Still looking east and 150282 glides down East Junction Viaduct with a train from Merthyr.

The pride of the Valleys, 37411 coasts past the same spot.

Looking west from the same spot and 143607 sets off with a service for Coryton.

Standing at the west end of the station looking along the line to Cardiff Canton. The line curving to the left in front of the depot is the line for Barry.

A little further to the south (ie. right) of the last photo 142006 occupies the site of Cardiff Riverside Station.
