Football specials

OK folks, let's get a new discussion going.
Which memories of football specials in the Bristol area do you have please?
When City reached the FA cup final, apart from the usual service trains, the GWR ran eighteen specials to London that day.
1968 when City and Rovers were drawn together for a cup match, a special was run from Avonmouth to Parson Street, returning after the game. 12 coaches long, it was hauled by a class 47. Unbelievable to any young 'uns on here, it carried fans of both clubs.
In the early 70's (1970 - 1973), BR ran specials for some City games. I went on one to Charlton. Thinking back, which route did we take to get from the main line round to Charlton?
Were specials provided for Rovers' way trips in that period?
