Over the last couple of years I have slowly been uploading some of my photos onto Flickr. User name 'Rivercider'
Quite a lot of them were taken in the Bristol and Somerset areas.
I have aranged them into sets for convenience, eg '1980s W.R. Bristol Temple Meads Area', or '1980s W.R. North Somerset'

Great set of pics, thanks for posting. Reminds me of my few years working the platform 7 buffet and spotting from 84-87 ish.

Excellent collection bringing back some good memories of my old depot. Glad to be reacquainted with 31401 which was one of my favourite locos there because she had an obscure little loss of power fault which challenged my diagnostic skills, with the added bonus of boosting my overtime. Hated those class 101 Met-Cam units which replaced some of our much better models.

Thanks for the comments, sorry I am a bit thick and can not work out how to directly link to the Flickr site.

I was in Bristol TOPS from 1978 - 1985, so knowing what moves were planned enabled me to get some of the shots.
I have uploaded nearly all my poor 1970s shots, but am about half way through the 1980s shots, which finish in 1986,

I have started to submit a few of the Bristol area shots that show some of the infrastructure, for inclusion on this site

cheers

Thanks for that.
The first pic was my place of work from 1978-85, 1988-91, and 1992-94, happy memories there.....

cheers

I have been adding more of my old photos from the 1980s and 1990s to my Flickr site.
The pictures were taken across BR, but there are several in Bristol and Somerset, and the West Country in general,

cheers

Thanks Mark.

you would probably know Graham Robinson, he formerly worked in Bristol TOPS with me.
You might possibly my dad Norman Redwood who was the civil engineers wagon supervisor, he would visit yards across the region, like Riverside, and Meldon Quarry before he retired about 1992,

cheers
Kevin

Graham was the CO4 in Exeter TOPS when I was there. I have seen him to speak too a few times since and the last I heard he was on the West Somerset Rly.
I remember your dad very well. I think we used to do a weekly TOPS printout for him of all Western CCE wagons in our TRA.
Regards
Mark
