The opening of Portway Park and Ride station has been delayed until summer 2023 due to "longer lead in times for the procurement of essential components". Link is to the BBC website.
This new station is constantly referred to as Bristol's first new station in 100 years, presumably because no one in the media has heard of Filton Abbey Wood? Or is Filton not classed as Bristol? Convenient if that is the case.

When I attended my first callout from Bath Road to a failed 08 shunter at Stoke Gifford yard there was no station at Bristol Parkway. I know I'm getting a bit long in the tooth now but that definitely wasn't 100 years ago. Probably outside the old City and County of Bristol but still within the Bristol conurbation.
